- You must use your full name as your username, i.e., your first name, followed by a space, followed by your last name. You can optionally include your middle initial or middle name, as well, if you so choose. This is to encourage and foster the sense of familiarity and community among our users and to aid in real-world recognition.
For example, if your name is John Doe, your username should be John Doe.
So, please do not use any cute, clever nicknames as your username, or we will either change it during the approval process or simply deny the registration request altogether. - We also require a handful of data fields to be completed during the registration process. There is no need to be overwhelmed; it shouldn't take more than five minutes to complete. The purpose of it is to provide the moderators with a sense of who you are so that the registration is approved, as well as to provide the rest of the users with a sense of who you are—again, for the purpose of encouraging and fostering the sense of familiarity and community among our users.
It is important that you complete these fields honestly and seriously. Typing in a few random characters on your keyboard just to pass the requirements is not going to get your registration approved. So, again, please just take the few minutes to fill it out properly. (You will appreciate this requirement once you are a member and are benefiting from browsing other members' profiles.) - Once your registration is processed and you are granted access to the site, you are strongly encouraged to read the Rules, Guidelines, and Tips section, as this contains some very valuable and useful information for using and understanding this site.
Thank you, and we hope to see you on the site soon!
